Dr. Faraj Hanna al-kass is a double board-certified fellowship-trained Vascular and non-vascular Interventional Radiologist. He finished his Radiology Residency at the American university of Beirut, Lebanon. Then, he completed his Interventional Radiology fellowship at the university of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. After completing his fellowship at the university of Iowa, Dr. Hanna al-kass stayed on faculty for additional one year. 

Then, he was appointed as an assistant professor at the Detroit Medical Center/ Wayne State University. In addition to his clinical responsibilities and patients’ care, Dr. Hanna al-kass was also involved in the education and training of residents and fellows in the field of mini-surgery and minimally invasive vascular/ non-vascular interventional procedures.

Dr. Hanna al-kass is an advocate for Uterus Preserving Procedures (UPP). He has an experience in the treatment of uterine fibroids and adenomyosis by performing a minimally invasive image guided Uterine Artery Embolization (UFE or UAE).
